Hi, I'm Lesley McCourt owner of Top Coat & Tails. I trained  as a dog groomer in 1995 at Paws Awhile in Southport Mersyside with the late Julie Steven-Smith. I completed a 4 week live in course covering all breeds and crossbreeds and passed my theory exam with 99.5% and completed 3 practical examinations, a Toy Poodle, a Terrier and a Cocker Spaniel all of which I passed.  I have been grooming mainly on a part-time basis ever since, however there have been many changes over the years, both in equipment, grooming styles and the introduction to new cross breeds such as 'Poo's and Doodles.  With my experience and an effort to continue to learn my trade, I endeavor to turn out my customers dogs to the best of my ability.

My hobby is to show my English Springer Spaniels, and I also judge the breed at Championship level as well as judging other Gundog breeds.
